Our Story
Born To Keep Babies Healthy
Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank began in 2015, when Cincinnati resident Megan Milstead learned that diapers are not covered by assistance programs like SNAP or WIC. She started collecting and distributing diapers from the basement of her home so local families would not have to go without a basic essential.
As this need grew, Sweet Cheeks grew too. Today, 1 in 2 families struggle to afford enough diapers to keep their baby clean, dry, and healthy. We now distribute about 2.5 million diapers each year through our network of local nonprofits and healthcare providers.
In 2018, we expanded our care through the Tidal Babe Period Bank after hearing from families who were forced to choose between diapers for their children and period products for themselves. Each year, we distribute more than half a million period products to help individuals manage their health with dignity.
