Our Distribution Model
We distribute diapers and period products through a network of approximately 40 trusted, local nonprofits and healthcare providers, including St. Vincent de Paul’s own outreach services. Partner nonprofits place orders each month, pick up products, and share them directly with families they already know and serve. This model reduces unnecessary duplication of services, keeps administrative costs down, and strengthens collaboration across our community.
When a family needs diapers or period products, they often have other urgent needs, too. That is why this partner-based approach matters. Together, St. Vincent de Paul and our nonprofit partners provide wraparound support and compassionate care for our neighbors in need.
How diapers and period products move through our network
-
Donated and purchased products arrive at our warehouse.
-
Volunteers wrap diapers and assemble period product kits.
-
Monthly orders are prepared and packed for partner pickup.
-
Partner agencies pick up and distribute products directly to families they serve.
-
Families have consistent access to essential hygiene items.
Why it matters
-
Families can redirect limited dollars toward other essentials like rent, utilities, food, and health care.
-
Caregivers report being able to work an additional 27–28 hours per month when they have a reliable diaper supply.
-
Regular access to diapers is linked to a 77% decrease in days of diaper rash.
